
Mitch Settle is a Managing Director at Baird. He began his career in 1986 working with his father, Roy Settle. He was a member of the Hilliard Lyons CEO Council (which included the top 3% of Hilliard Lyons producers) every year since 1990 until the firms acquisition by Baird in 2019. Continuing the tradition of excellence, Mitch developed Settle Financial Advisors of Baird, a team of licensed and trained professionals to assist him in his mission of helping clients build and maintain wealth. With a combination of more than 65 years of investment experience, Mitch and his team focus on building strong, long-term relationships to carry over to future generations. The team's objective is to provide integrity, commitment and trust to every client experience. Mitch is passionate about his job. He wants to help his clients make educated investment decisions in all aspects of their lives.
Mitch has been listed as one of the “Top 1200 Financial Advisors” in Barron’s magazine for ten consecutive years, as well as one of the “Top 3 Financial Advisors in Kentucky.” In addition, he has been ranked by the Financial Times as one of the "Top 400 Advisors" in America. In 2019, Mitch was named to the Forbes Best in State Wealth Advisors (number 4 in Kentucky). Mitch is a graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan College where he served as Chairman of the Board from 2009 – 2011. He was awarded the Outstanding Alumnus by the Kentucky Wesleyan Board of Trustees in 2007, and was inducted into the Kentucky Wesleyan College Hall of Fame in 2018. Mitch served on the board from 1986 – 2018. Mitch served on the Executive Board of First Security Bank from origination in 1997 until 2018. Mitch is now a member of the Advisory Board of German American Bank. He also serves as Chairman on the The George Greenwell Charitable Foundation, and is a member of the Owensboro Estate Planning Council.
In addition to a love and interest of helping clients pursue their financial goals, Mitch enjoys sports cars and running. He has been an avid runner for 50 years. He participates in and sponsors races throughout the community. Mitch and his wife, Kim, have two daughters Sydney and Shelby. Sydney is a graduate of Western Kentucky University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and then went on to attain her MBA. Shelby graduated summa cum laude from Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2020 with a degree in business administration.
